Clint Stanaway is an Australian sports presenter, newsreader, and journalist. He is best known for hosting Weekend Today on the Nine Network.
The 41-year-old has covered the cricket World Cup in India, The Ashes, Wimbledon, the Australian Open, the 2012 London Olympic Games, and three FIFA World Cups – Brazil, Russia, and Qatar. He has worked as Europe Correspondent for the Nine Network.

Early Life
Clint Stanaway was born and bred in Melbourne, the coastal capital of Victoria, Australia. He attended Glen Waverley Secondary College and completed a Bachelor of Arts at Deakin University.
Career
Stanaway began his TV career in 2002 at WIN Television in Bendigo, then joined Nine News as a Reporter in 2005. He covered significant stories, such as the Mildura hit-run tragedy and the Beaconsfield miners’ rescue.
Stanaway was part of the Nine Network’s Commonwealth Games reporting team in 2006. In 2007, Stanaway relocated to London. He joined British Sky Broadcasting while working as Nine’s European Correspondent.
During his time overseas, Stanaway covered several high-profile events. He covered Australia’s Ashes campaign in 2009, Wimbledon, the French Tennis Open, and British Open Golf. He reported from Mexico on the Swine Flu crisis.
Stanaway joined Nine News in 2011 as a Weekend Sports Presenter. He presents alongside Alicia Loxley and Justine Conway on Saturday and Sunday evenings. He traveled to India and Sri Lanka for the ICC Cricket World Cup.
Clint Stanaway joined Nine’s Olympic reporting team at the 2012 London Games. He reported from Brazil at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and then the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He reads the sports bulletin on Nine’s Today Show.
Stanaway is a regular host on Wide World of Sports. He has presented the network’s LIVE coverage of the International Champions Cup soccer in 2015 and 2016.
He also presented the Socceroos World Cup qualifiers, Suncorp Super Netball, and Nine’s Summer of Tennis.
In 2024, Stanaway rejoined Nova 100’s new breakfast team, Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips. He presents sport on Nine’s Melbourne weekend 6 pm news alongside Peter Hitchener.
Stanaway helped form Mands’ Mob, a charity supporting Ovarian Cancer research and awareness. He is the national ambassador for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. He has helped raise over $250,000 through the annual Silver Lining Ride.
Clint is also an ambassador for My Room, a volunteer-led organization committed to raising funds for a 100% cure rate for childhood cancers.
Stanaway is a passionate sports enthusiast. He supports the Melbourne Football Club and Melbourne City FC and has attended some of the world’s most memorable sports events.
