Liam Ison (born 21 December 2004) is an Australian footballer. He played in the Harold Matthews Cup, SG Ball Cup, and Jersey Flegg Cup with the Panthers from 2020 to 2023.
Although he made his NRL debut in 2024, Ison had spent time with Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler in the Junior Blues. He is the fourth player from the Panthers 2022 Jersey Flegg Cup premiership team to appear in the NRL.

Early Life
Liam Ison was born on 21 December 2004 in Penrith, New South Wales, Australia. He became interested in football and looked up to fullbacks Ben Barba and Billy Slater. He was a touch football player growing up. Ison currently lives with his parents in Penrith.
Ison was at the stage in his footy journey when he was about 14 and wasn’t getting picked for the teams. He had a touch footy coach, Scott Buckley, who believed in him.
Liam transferred into rugby league. Scott gave Ison the skills and the confidence to be the player he is today.
Education
Liam Ison studied at St Dominic’s College, a Catholic high school for boys in the Edmund Rice Tradition.

Liam Ison played in the Harold Matthews Cup, SG Ball Cup, and Jersey Flegg Cup with the Panthers from 2020 to 2023. He later joined Cronulla ahead of this season. He has played five-eighth and hooker but prefers the fullback position.

Liam Ison was named the fullback in the Daily Telegraph 2020 NRL Schoolboy Cup Team of the Year when he was a Year 10 student. He is the fourth player from the Panthers 2022 Jersey Flegg Cup premiership team to appear in the NRL.
