Since 1946, this recognized non-profit corporation (NPC) has been in operation. Since then, they have been dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of color, gender, or creed, has access to basic primary healthcare and social services.
They provide services to a population of over 1.4 million people. The majority of their recipients are from informal settlements, where they confront poverty and unemployment, as well as the danger of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Witkoppen is an exempted micro-enterprise Level 1 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) contributor with a verified beneficiary base of more than 99 percent black beneficiaries, as well as a Section 18A tax exemption.
