Set in the picturesque township of Bergville, KwaZulu‑Natal, Homecoming follows Zethu Hlongwane — a brilliant medical graduate with dreams of becoming one of South Africa’s few Black female surgeons, who returns to her rural roots when her career plans collapse. Back in her hometown, Zethu navigates the collision of two worlds — the evidence‑based rigor of Western medicine and the spiritual power of traditional African healing. Her meeting with Sifiso Kubheka, a police officer by day and traditional healer by night, unravels new layers of identity, love, and belief.
