Asher Keddie (born 31 July 1974) is an Australian actress. She is best known for her roles as Nina Proudman in Offspring, Carol Frost in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Love My Way.
The actress has been in the film industry for over 20 years and has made many notable appearances, including in The Cry. She has won many awards, including the Logie Award for Most Popular Actress five times from 2011 to 2015.

Early Life
Asher Keddie was born on 31 July 1974 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, to Robi and James Keddie. She took dance lessons for nine years when she was a kid.
When Keddie was 14, she hurt her knee right before an audition at the Australian Ballet School. She had to stop dancing because of a knee dislocation.
Keddie landed an acting role in a commercial for dancewear while at ballet school and subsequently landed an agent. She completed her studies at St Michael’s Grammar School in St Kilda.

Asher Keddie started her acting career with Five Mile Creek in 1985, followed by Fortress in 1986 and Janus in 1994. She portrayed Marriane Sheridan in Blue Heelers in June 1996 and Aimee in Good Guys, Bad Guys in 1997.
Her talents caught the eye of top TV execs from 1997 to 1998 when she appeared in State Coroner. She landed a recurring gig in Stingers from 2000 to 2004.
In 2000, Asher Keddie landed a starring role as a dancer in the music video for Since I Left You by Aussie electronic music legends The Avalanches. By 2024, the video had hit a whopping 16 million views.
Keddie landed a leading role as Julia Jackson in the critically acclaimed Foxtel series Love My Way in 2004.
In 2009, Keddie showcased her versatility as an actress by taking on diverse roles. She played a journalist named Jacinta Burns in the TV series Rush and Dr Carol Frost in the blockbuster movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Keddie portrayed author Blanche d’Alpuget in the TV movie Hawke, a drama about former Prime Minister Bob Hawke in 2010. She portrayed a police officer named Liz Cruickshank in the TV series Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities.
In 2011, Keddie starred as the legendary Ita Buttrose in the ABC1 telemovie Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo.
Asher Keddie began starring as the lead character in a drama series, Offspring, which premiered in August 2010. She bagged the prestigious Gold Logie award in 2013 for her beloved portrayal of Nina Proudman in the drama series.

Asher Keddie made her theatrical debut in 1998 with the Melbourne Theatre Company’s Patrick Marber’s Closer.
She showcased her versatility on stage in Cyrano de Bergerac, Les Liaisons dangereuses, Birthrights, Great Expectations, The Seagull, and Life After George.
Keddie won the Green Room Award nominations for outstanding performances in two notable productions – the 2005 Melbourne Theatre Company’s Les Liaisons dangereuses and Playbox’s The Ishmael Club.
In 2007, Keddie took to the stage alongside Jay Bowen in the Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of The Glass Soldier, a play written by Hannie Rayson.
Personal Life
Asher Keddie tied the knot with Jay Bowen in January 2007. The duo separated in December 2011.
Keddie married artist Vincent Fantauzzo in a private beachside ceremony on Fiji’s Turtle Island on 9 April 2014. They share two sons – Valentino and Luca, from Vincent’s previous marriage.
Keddie first met Vincent in 2012. She announced that she was pregnant at the GQ Men’s Award in November 2014 and had her first child on 1 March 2015.
