Early Life
Jaimee Lupton was born on 18 June 1992 in Auckland. She had a wonderful childhood growing up with her two sisters on a farm in Kumeu, a town in Auckland.
Her father, who began working after he left school at 14, worked as a dedicated butcher, and her mother as a social worker. After experiencing a tough breakup in her 20s, she moved to Sydney, leaving her family in Auckland.
Education
Lupton completed a Bachelor of Communication Studies at Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Career
Jaimee oversaw the publicity for a list of luxury brands while working at Black Communications in Sydney. She spent many years working in luxury communications and PR to push other people’s products.
After meeting Nick, Lupton shared her vision of MONDAY. He believed in it, and they first launched the brand in March 2020 in Australia and New Zealand.
By 2023, the haircare brand has gone global, and its products are in 40,000 doors and 26 countries with over 70 retailers, including CVS, Target, US Costco, and Walmart.
MONDAY Haircare made some exciting hair product releases, including a treatment, dry shampoo, and refill bags with 80% less plastic than its traditional bottles. Jaimee and Mowbray plan on launching seven more brands over the next 18 months.
Her brand used recycled plastic for bottles and opted for screen-printing labels instead of adhesive stickers to reduce the beauty industry’s waste problem.
Her team spans globally in Australia, China, New Zealand, and many offices across the United States.
MONDAY Haircare sits under the umbrella of Zuru Edge. She has launched another brand, Osana Naturals, which offers a range of hand soap, skin, and haircare products.
Out of her tragedy, Lupton launched the project Gingernut’s Angels. The initiative aims to provide financial support to New Zealanders living with infertility. She hopes to partner with a fertility clinic.
Personal Life
Jaimee Lupton is engaged to billionaire Nick Mowbray. The couple celebrated a decade of friendship, five years of dating, and one year of engagement in 2023. Her engagement ring is a pear-shaped diamond by the jeweler Jessica McCormack.
The couple announced they were expecting their first child in 2022. Nick and Jaimee lost their first baby daughter, Gingernut, whom she conceived through IVF and was stillborn at 24 weeks.
Lupton made a brave video sharing the loss and severe heartache she suffered coming home without a baby.
Jaimee Lupton and her fiancé Nick Mowbray bought a stylish mansion in Auckland and a $21million luxury 40-metre yacht in 2020.
Entrepreneur couple Jaimee Lupton and Nick Mowbray welcomed another child, Noa Morgan Mowbray, in March 2024.
