Zan Rowe (born 22 March 1978) is an Australian radio and television presenter. She is best known for working for ABC digital radio station Double J.
The Bang On podcaster and ABC TV host returns to our screens for season three of Take 5 in 2024 after a successful season two in 2023.

Early life
Zan Rowe was born Susanna Rowe on 22 March 1978 in Melbourne, Australia. She majored in radio and cinema at RMIT University. She has a big brother, Joel.
Rowe is a lifelong music nerd. She was 12 years old when her parents took her family to see Midnight Oil.
Career
The radio personality kicked off at SYN Radio (then SRA FM) with the show Run with the Hunted. She joined the Monday drive shift on 3RRR 102.7FM to present Transit Lounge in 2002.
After leaving the Monday drive shift in 2004, Zan became a weekend lunch host for the national radio station Triple J in 2005. She then started hosting Mornings on Triple J in 2006, broadcasting weekdays between 9 am and 12 pm until December 2017.

In 2009, Zan joined to co-present a special edition of Rage, Triple J Hottest 100 of All Time, alongside Richard Kingsmill. She also presented the program The Critics for ABC from 2015 to 2016.
In 2017, Zan started the podcast Bang on with Myf Warhurst and announced her departure from Triple J in December of the same year. She joined ABC TV’s Screen Time as one of the panelists.
Zan started to host the New Year’s Eve countdown show on the ABC, alongside Charlie Pickering, in 2017. She is the presenter of the weekly segment The Beat on News Breakfast, where she discusses music news.
Zan Rowe later joined a digital radio network, Double J, and started hosting the Morning Show in 2018. The show is the home of her flagship feature and podcast, Take 5. She has also been the host of many other programs on ABC and has written for the ABC about the Australian musical industry.
The television presenter started co-hosting the weekly music program The Sound on the ABC in 2020. She hosted ABC’s 90th birthday celebration in 2022 alongside Tony Armstrong and Craig Reucassel.
In September 2022, Zan started to host the television version of her radio segment Take 5. She interviewed with Missy Higgins on ABC’s Take 5 in October.
In March 2023, Zan announced her decision to take a break from Double J Mornings. However, she remained with ABC and served as their national music correspondent.
Her podcast-turned-TV series Take 5 with Zan Rowe returned to television screens on ABC for its second season in 2023.
Take 5 was nominated for the Best Entertainment Program at the TV Week Logie Awards in 2024. Zan attended the 64th TV WEEK Logie Awards at The Star, Sydney, in August 2024.
