The Emmanuel Cathedral or simply Cathedral of Durban is the name assigned to the Catholic Church in Durban, South Africa, which is situated at 48 Cathedral Road in the heart of the region.
The cathedral was designed to replace a St. Joseph’s church that had been in service since 1881. Bishop Charles Jolivet laid the foundation stone in January 1902, and the temple was dedicated in November 1904.
