Greteli made her professional acting debut on screen in 2019 in the kykNET drama series Dwaalster, playing a recurring part as a teenage version of Annabel (series star Tinarie van Wyk-Loots) (Wanderer).
Later that year, she was cast in the kykNET drama series Alles Malan (Everything Malan), which is situated in the Western Cape town of Paarl and centers on four generations of the Malan family. This gave her her first leading role in television.
Just one month later, she appeared as Jessica in Season 1 Episode 6 of the kykNET comedy Lui Maar Op, Belinda (Give it a Rest, Belinda).
The announcement that Greteli would star in the Netflix coming-of-age drama series Blood & Water, in which a Cape Town teen attempts to determine whether a private-school swimming star is her sister who was kidnapped at birth, raised Greteli’s profile internationally.
