Helen Castles (born November 1982) is a New Zealand reporter. She is a senior reporter for 1News and has been in the media industry for many years.

Early Life
Helen Castles was born in November 1982 to Pat and Margaret Castles. As a teenager, she was a competitive swimmer. Her father passed on his swimming passion to her and is still her inspiration.

Helen Castles is a reporter for 1News, a news division of the New Zealand television network TVNZ.
Personal Life
Helen Castles married sports presenter Andrew Saville at Tokerau Beach in Northland in 2024. The couple exchanged wedding vows in the presence of an intimate group of whānau and friends.
Castles first met Andrew in 2005, when she worked for Kaikohe newspaper as a cub reporter. Castles and Andrew began dating in 2020. But with them just coming out of long-term relationships, it wasn’t the right time.
After two years, they returned together and first went public in December 2022. Andrew popped the question with a diamond ring, and they celebrated on the beach.
The TVNZ reporter Helen Castles was previously married to Phil Boughey. She is a mother of four children – twins from her past marriage and twins from her husband’s past marriage.
Her twins, Xavier and Jayden Boughey, were born with different skin tones – one is brown, and the other is white. They also have different birthdays – November 6 and 7 – after arriving on either side of midnight.
Helen Castles swam along the 3.3km distance with her father, Pat Castles in 2013. She is based in Northland and has a pet pig, Sophie.
