Amani (born 28 November 1980) whose real name is Cecilia Wairimu is a Kenyan singer and songwriter.

Education
Amani was a member of the accapella group Sobriety while she was a student at Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls High School. Immediately following her high school graduation in 1999, she agreed to a record deal with Ogopa Deejays.
She began her studies in international business administration at the United States International University in 2000.
Career
“Move On,” her first song, became a radio success. In 2001, she released the songs “Tahidi” and “Papii,” her follow-ups. “Ninanoki,” her 2002 joint effort with Nameless, became a hugely successful national smash.
Her later songs include “Talk to You” (with Patonee and Big Pin), “Bad Boy” (including Nyashinski of Kleptomaniax), Usiwe Mbali (featuring AY), “Tamani”, “Missing My Baby”, and “Tonight”.
She currently serves as Airtel Kenya’s brand ambassador. Tamani, her debut record, was released in 2006.
She has performed on tour in countries like the US, Norway, Germany, the UK, Namibia, Tanzania, and Uganda. She has also performed in Djibouti, Dubai, Nigeria, Senegal, South Africa, and Liberia.
She collaborated with the Ugandan dancehall group Radio & Weasel in 2013 to create the song “Kiboko Changu,” the first single from her most recent album. She released the song “Kizungu Zungu” in 2015.
She released the reggae and dancehall-inspired song “Heartbreaker” in July 2015. The song’s music video was shot at Nairobi’s Garden Estate and made public on September 8, 2015.
