Skerpioen (Afrikaans for “scorpion”) is a TV series that tells the story of a team of scientists investigating a series of mysterious deaths, each victim with a scorpion-shaped mark on their skin. They soon discover that the scorpions are not just ordinary animals – they are something more sinister.

Ferda tells Fikret that her mother returned after 40 years and that his wife Berna is her sister. A drunk Aras wants to know from Ferda if the woman she killed was her sister.

Ferda calls in at Perihan’s house to tell Duru and Sahin that she is their mother’s sister, thus their aunt. Perihan chases her out but Duru decides to visit Ferda to hear the full story.

After a visit to the villa, Perihan treats Merve rather badly. Ferda is convinced there is a more sinister motive for her mother Perihan’s shocking behaviour.

Ferda meddles with Peri’s blood pressure medication which causes her to fall on the staircase and end up in hospital. Duru and Hacer suspect that Berna was murdered.

After Perihan’s admission to the hospital, Fikret invites Ferda to spend the night with them in the mansion. Of course, this plays right into Ferda’s hands. However, Hacer calls Perihan and informs her about the state of affairs.

Duru and Sahin visit the hair salon where Merve and Duru eventually make amends. Fikret and Ferda have it out at Sapanca and Aras tries his best not to lose his mind.

Sahin is in love with Ipek and together with Duru they organize a dinner with cousins Ipek and Merve. Ipek lands in hospital after an argument with Aras.

Ferda is furious when she sees Perihan hanging out with Merve and makes a dramatic decision. Aras realizes he has to intervene, but doesn’t consider that it might hurt Merve.

Perihan’s plan works. Merve’s heart is broken and she realizes she can’t trust anyone. Ferda is hysterical and can’t believe Fikret doesn’t want to do what she asks.

Merve confronts Ferda about Fikret and runs away from home. Ferda blackmails Aras with video footage of him throwing Berna in the lake.
