Tbo Touch (born 4 April 1981) is a South African Hip Hop DJ, TV personality, rapper, and entrepreneur known for being the presenter on the radio program Pimp my Fridays and Rhyme and Reason on Metro FM.

He was born on April 4, 1981, in Thokoza, Gauteng, South Africa. As of 2024, he is 43 years old and celebrates his birthday on April 4th every year.

Education

When he was living with his grandparents in Sharpville, he attended primary school there. At age 15, he immigrated to the United States and attended Thokoza Secondary School.

After that, he started attending Bishop Grimes High in the USA. He became interested in entrepreneurship as he studied. The Business Skills Award went to him because he founded an Entrepreneurs Club.

Thuli Thabethe, a multi-award winning South African actress, was dating Tbo Touch. They were a couple for six years before calling it quits in 2010. They were co-parents of their son Ruri.

Later in 2014, he discovered love once more and got engaged to model and owner of a PR agency Nandi Molefe. They were supposed to say their vows to one another in 2015. The ceremony did not take place, though, and there was reportedly conflict. 2015 saw their reunion and their wedding. He and Nandi have a son they named Zuri.

Career

At age 19, Tbo Touch worked as an intern at Def Jam Records, where he had many interesting encounters. He met with Kelvin Liles, the president of Def Jam, and Jay-Z, among other well-known figures.

In 2004 in Manhattan, he met with Mr. Lesley Ntloko, the station manager at Metro FM at the time. He obtained employment at the meeting as the new host of Metro FM Live in New York City. His career in radio officially began at that point. He was given control of the global “Metro FM Live” program. In 2005, he was selected to represent the three-hour Rhyme and Reason program.

He is the first host in South Africa to have four different TV shows, including two live ones. He was employed by Touch Central and Metro FM. In 2006, he was named the Metro FM Awards’ host for two years in a row. He was the winner of Metro FM’s 2009 Best Host award.
