She has contributed to a number of television shows, including Generations, Soul City, Justice for All, Scoop Schoombie, Isidingo, and Secret in my Bosom, among others.

Xolile Tshabalala has won several acting accolades, including the 2004 People Magazine Crystal Award for best soap actress and the 2003 Duku Duku Viewers Choice award, to mention a couple.

In the seventh season of the SABC1 drama series Soul City (in 2006), she played the part of Sister Zama. In the fifth season of the American drama series NCIS (in 2007), she appeared as a guest.
In the 2011 SABC1 drama series Fallen, she played Mandi Mbalula, the calculating accountant and second-in-command at Nobela Holdings who worked for Mvelo’s (Yonda Thomas) father.
She also starred in the 2013 SABC3 drama series High Rollers as TT’s stunning wife Gugu, an ambitious player development executive who gives the casino’s high rollers whatever they want but is unable to give TT the one thing he wants—a child.
