Career
Cece Sagini launched her music career formally in 2012. Appointment, a song she co-wrote with well-known gospel performer Jimmy Gait and which won “Song of the Year” at the 2013 Groove Awards, gave her her first break.
She enrolled in Sauti Academy in 2013, a 12-month music course that helped her advance her musical abilities. She met acclaimed producer MG at this period, who helped her create her debut track, Sio Mwisho, which she released on December 1st, 2013.
After that, she collaborated with Big Soul and Kevin Provoke on the single “Feel It,” which was released on June 3, 2015. She received an invitation to represent Kenya at an Israeli festival during this time. When she returned, she worked with well-known Hip Hop artist Octopizzo on the smash single “I’m A Doer,” which was published on November 9, 2015.
Following the success of her third track, “9 to 5,” which was featured on MTV and Trace, Sagini released her fourth single, “9 to 5,” on February 23, 2016.
