Hazel Jenkins (born 6 June 1960) is a South African politician and former Premier of the Northern Cape province who served as Premier from May 2009 till April 2013.

Career
Jenkins was elected to the Emthanjeni Local Municipality in De Aar in 1995, and later served as Executive Mayor of the Bo-Karoo District Municipality. She was the Deputy Chairperson of the South African Local Government Association for two terms.
Jenkins was declared as the ruling African National Congress’s nominee for Premier of the Northern Cape in 2009, following the party’s resounding victory in the general election. He would succeed Dipuo Peters. Her term as Premier began on May 6, 2009.
Hazel Jenkins formally stepped down as Premier of the Northern Cape on April 2, 2013, and was succeeded by Sylvia Lucas, the Provincial Minister for Environmental Affairs.
