He got married to a businesswoman Onalerona Moreo in 2005 and together they have two children.

Unfortunately for them, they got divorced in 2015 after ProVerb confirmed that Onalerona cheated on him with a Johannesburg businessman called Edwin Sodi.

ProVerb Rapper moved on and was romantically involved in a relationship with Liesl Laurie. They were together for three years as their relationship came to an end in 2015.

Education

He started schooling at the age of 6 in 1987 and matriculated from St. Patrick’s College in 1998.

He bagged a Certificate in Sound Engineering in 2008 from the Academy of Sound Engineering.

ProVerb then proceeded to the University of Cape Town where he did a short course on Property Development and Investment.

Career

He released his official debut album in 2004, which till today is still one of the most famous ProVerb albums.

The album was officially released in 2005 and is titled The Book of ProVerb. It was released through the independent record label known as Outrageous Records. His other albums include:

  • Manuscript released in 2006
  • Write of Passage released in 2009
  • Fourthwrite released in 2012

ProVerb began his work on radio as the technical producer on Y-FM before moving on to become the technical and content producer on Metro FM.

He had his own show with Metro FM titled The Pro-File and worked with Glen Lewis and Unathi.

He currently hosts a show on Khaya FM called The Winner’s Circle.

ProVerb became a co-host of Idols SA season 6 with Liezel van der Westhuizen until 2011 when he continued as a single host and has been working with Mzansi celebrities like Unathi, and Somizi Mhlongo.
