The South African Road Federation Bursary will not be accepting applications after 31 August 2021.

The South African Road Federation Bursary is aimed at students studying in their tertiary phase of education. This bursary caters to students who are studying in fields that can benefit the road transport sector.

Who Can Apply for the SARF Bursary?

The South African Road Federation is looking for students that are studying in certain fields to award this bursary. To be considered for selection, students will have to be studying one of the following:

  • Road Transport Management
  • Road Transport Economics
  • Road Traffic Management
  • Variant Components of Road Engineering

The bursary will be awarded to students working toward a National Diploma or Degree in these fields.

What Does the SARF Bursary Cover?

It is considered a partial bursary that helps with study-related financial costs. Bursary amounts will be established based on the cost of attendance, the eligibility requirements, and the recommendation of the Road Federation’s bursary council.

  SUBTROP Lindsey Milne Bursary 2021/2022

In order to receive a Bursary, a student must go before the local Road Federation section and present his or her choice of study. In addition, project participants will be required to provide a progress report two times a year as well as join the South African Road Federation as an associate member.

How To Apply for SARF Bursary

To apply for the South African Road Federation Bursary is easy. All you need to do is download and complete the application form here and make sure to include the following support documents with it:

  • A certified copy of your ID
  • A certified copy of your Grade 11 final results
  • A certified copy of your Matric certificate
  • Your latest tertiary academic results
  • Proof that you are registered with a tertiary institution

Please be aware that before sending in your application, you meet and understand the following criteria set by the South African Road Federation:

  • South African residents will receive higher preference, but SADC members are free to apply.
  • Applicants must be studying towards one of the listed fields of study.
  • Applicants must be studying at a recognized university or institution.
  • Students studying toward a National Diploma will need to have passed the first semester exams.
  • Your application must be supported by the relevant academic authority at your university or institution.
  • Students studying toward a Degree must have passed their first year.
  • Full-time students will receive higher preference to part-time and distance learning students.
  • Employees of members of the South African Road Federation will receive higher preference.
  • Applicants must intend to work in the South African road transport sector after graduation.
  Citrus Academy Bursary 2021/2022

The SADC or South African Development Community consists of 16 countries. All of whom’s residents are free to apply for this bursary. The countries are the following: Botswana, Angola, Democratic Republic of Congo, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Mauritius, Seychelles, Zambia, and Namibia.
