Lerato Kganyago (born 22 July 1982) is an award-winning TV presenter, model, actress, DJ, businesswoman, and socialite. She is well known for her talk show, The LKG Show, which she hosts on Soweto TV.

Lerato also hosts The Link, a lifestyle magazine on SABC1.

Lerato is related to SABC spokesman, Kaizer Kganyago. She is his niece.

Lerato Kganyago Husband

The 37-year-old got married to Gauteng tycoon, Thami Ndlela in a traditional wedding in 2020. Their traditional wedding took place amid the coronavirus outbreak and before the lockdown but all precautionary measures were taken.

The couple did not stay long together, they split just two months after their traditional wedding.

“It is with great sadness that we announce that Thami and I have decided to go our separate ways. We have come to realise that our different priorities and workloads have not afforded us the time to invest in our relationship,” her statement read.

She had previously been engaged to South African footballer Katlego Mashego. They were together for four years and broke up in 2014.

Lerato Kganyago as Media Personality

She was featured on the popular drive time show on Jozi Fm, with DJ Hluks, as an entertainment news updater. On the same slot she hosted a car show updating listeners about the latest cars and celebrities that drive them.

In 2008, she became a presenter at the community TV station Soweto TV until 2012. In 2012, she got hired by SABC 1 replacing Bonang Matheba as the host of ‘The Link’ a lifestyle TV show that aired on SABC 1. In 2016, she replaced Pearl Thusi as the co-host of SABC1 music show LIVE Amp.

Acting Career

In 2010, she had a small role in the e.tv drama series 4Play: Sex Tips for Girls. She has also had cameo roles on Live (she co-hosted the show with Crazy Lu), the mini-series After 9 on SABC1 and The Wild on M-Net.

In 2015, she joined SABC2 soapie Muvhango in the role of Mmasebotsana Primrose Mojalefa, a beauty and a businesswoman in which she made her debut on Thursday, 11 June 2015.

Lerato Kganyago Miscarriage

In 2015, Kganyago had a miscarriage and during an interview on Real Talk by Anele Mdoda she revealed that she has actually had two miscarriages. She said that she suffered fibroids which were removed but had returned increasing her chances of miscarrying again.

She told Anele that she is in therapy to help her deal with the pain of her loss and had learnt to block out the idea of having children.
